Ship Name and Log

The ship name and log screen allows you to rename a ship any name you wish and write yourself a short log message about this ship that only you will be able to see. Any enemy or friendly race that scans your ship will be able to see your ship`s name, but not the message in the log. If a ship is captured the log message will be deleted.

The screen also shows you many important statistics about the ship`s hull. Even through the ship hull has a listed max speed of 90 the ship might have an engine that is unable to propel a ship at this speed. If a ship has less weapons than its rated maximum number it can always be refitted using an outfit pod at a later time to bring the ship up to its full weapons count. These numbers listed are just the absolute hull maximums and not necessarily the current configuration of the ship. The Data On Ship screen will give you current ship configuration details.
