A ship needs fuel to move. The fuel they use is Neutronium. Neutronium fuel and neutronium ore is produced by mines on planets. The fuel and ore is extracted from the planet`s core using mines. Many planets have some neutronium laying free on the surface of the planet. The neutronium ore can be converted into neutronium fuel by smelters . Both mines and smelters are buildings that can be constructed at ground bases.
The fuel is transferred to the ship using the ship`s transporter . You can grab neutronium from a base that you own or from a planet you are passing by. Remember, your ship burns pure neutronium fuel and not ore, your ship will not even hold ore. Only an ore pod can move ore from planet to planet as cargo. Ore pods and other pods can be lunched from planet to planet using pod pads.
Select the ship that you wish to move by left clicking on it on the main star map. You may also select a ship by clicking the ships button on the main tool bar and using the arrow buttons to move to the next or previous ship.
Set a waypoint for the ship. There are several different ways to set a waypoint:
1. You can use the ship overview`s mini nav map to click on the location that you wish the ship to travel to.
2. Click on the waypoint 1 button on the main tool bar. Your mouse cursor will turn into a waypoint cursor. Click on the main map the location that you want the ship to travel to.
3. Hold down the mouse cursor on the ship`s icon on the main star map and drag it to the location that you want the ship to travel to.
4. Click the waypoint button on the ship overview screen and select the location that you want the ship to travel to from a list of objects.
Set the ship`s speed. You can use the speed slider on the ship overview screen or the speed slider on the nav screen .
The ship is all set to move to its waypoint. Movement will take place during the host run. When you receive your next RST file you will see that the ship has moved to its new location.
